Dogs

I love dogs. In fact it's fair to say that over the recent years I've had a little obsession with dogs. I'm luck enough to have my own dog now called Roxy, who is the first ever dog I've not been allergic to and has lead the way to getting rid of my dog allergy all together!

I recently did a photo shoot for my friend's mum with her two chocolate labrador dogs, Coco and Spot, just before Christmas. We took them on a walk in the near by fields and I was able to capture then in the environment that they enjoy the most.

And here's a picture of Roxy, the dog in my life.

Kate and Keith Engagement Shoot

I recently did an engagement shoot with Kate and Keith who are getting married in Somerset in January. It was a beautiful, crisp Sunday when I met them in Guildford and from there we went to a wood to take their engagement pictures.

Keep an eye out for their wedding pictures early next year.

Looking Back on 2008 - Part 2

My passion with photography started with travel photography and in 2008 I visited Japan in May on a photographic trip with the intention to capture Japan through my lens. My trip started in Narita and from there I travelled to Tokyo, Hakone, Kyoto, Nara and Osaka. Along the way I stayed in a capsule hotel, went to a sumo wrestling tournament, experienced the bullet train, saw Geishas in the Gion district of Kyoto, went on the hunt notoriously hard to see Mount Fuji, stayed in traditional Japanese hotels called Ryokans, ate sushi beyond belief, saw fabulous temples, got addicted to Pacinko (a pin ball machine that the Japanese love) and experienced traditional Japanese communal bathing!

The trip was amazing and in August 2008 I ran a photography exhibition in Henley on Thames. I combined images and made photo montages out of many of the images. Below you can see a few of them.

Looking Back on 2008 - Part 1

As a wedding photographer based in London, I've been very honored to photography some truly beautiful and touching weddings in 2008 and I approach the end of the year it's a good time to look back at some of my favorite weddings this year and feature them in my blog.

The first is Costi and Nicola's wedding which took place in October at Stoke Place  in Stoke Poges, just outside of London.

High Tea

I recently did a shoot for Georgina who runs the most fantastic tea shop called High Tea of Highgate on Highgate High Street. Georgina make and sells the most delicious cupcakes, cakes, scones (you name it!) and serves tea and coffee in beautiful cups and saucers. Her shop also sells a range of gifts such as blankets, cards and tea sets which make me want to reach for my credit card.

Framed copies of some of the images are available to buy in the shop.

Here's a sneak preview.

Blogging Beginner

Hi, I'm Joanna and welcome to my blog. After nearly 18 months of running a photography company in London I've decided to become a blogger and share my experiences of being a photographer. I've been privileged to be the wedding photographer at a number of beautiful weddings and have loved every minute of being so involved in such special days. In fact wedding photography has become one of favorite types of photography. However my passion for photography extends beyond weddings and I've been lucky enough to travel to some amazing countries, such as India, Japan, Dubai and New York as a result of my photography.  I've also run two photography exhibitions one in 2007 called 'The Colours of India' and in 2008 'Japan' and have an upcoming exhibition in Highgate, London in January 2009.
